Healing Arts Centre

This is the official release of my brand new full-length album, "Born to Shine!!"  It was recorded here in Athens at Studio 1093 with a live studio audience, so I want to share it with my local peeps first!   The show will be in the gorgeous Sangha yoga studio.  I'll be accompanied by Michael Steele on guitar and bass.  Michael recorded this album with me.

Athens Land Trust and Oconee River Land Trust are again partnering to host Spirit of the Land, the major fundraiser for their conservation work.  I have two pieces for sale in this beautiful exhibition.

BI-ANNUAL SONGWRITERS OPEN MIC SHOOTOUT 32 is a head-to-head competition of Open Mic Winners from the past 6 months!  Each act performs only one song, and single elimination determines if they move on to the next round.  Eddie will give away $1,000 to the ultimate winner, plus a number of other great prizes.  Previous winners who have gone on to national acclaim include John Mayer and Jennifer Nettles (of Sugarland.)  Tickets for this event will sell out quickly!

Visionary Growth Gallery

Please join me for the opening reception of "The Mother Show" on Mother's Day, May 9th from 4 - 6:00pm.  Thirty different artists will be displaying their original work on the theme of Motherhood. 

The show runs from May 9 - June 27.  Regular gallery hours are Tues. - Sat., 11am - 5pm.

Visionary Growth Gallery presents shows of regional, national and international visionary artists. They are an art gallery and sculpture park located just outside Athens, Georgia.

Oconee Cultural Arts Foundation (OCAF)

The Oconee Cultural Arts Foundation will host the 15th annual Southworks Arts Festival in Watkinsville, Saturday May 1st and Sunday May 2nd from 10 AM to 5 PM.  Over sixty artists will be selling original works, including pottery, paintings, fiber art, stained glass, jewelry, sculpture, photography and woodwork.

Enjoy live music from local musicians, including me - I'm playing Sunday at 1:00pm.  It's a full weekend of great music, art, food and fun.

Jack Art Gallery

Please join me for the opening of Mirror, Mirror.  This exhibit will feature works celebrating the beauty and power of women during Women's History Month. The gallery will be transformed into a house of mirrors with an extensive selection of works depicting the many reflections and beauty of women. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Georgia Coalition Against Domestic Violence.

I will have six of my pieces on display.  The exhibit runs March 6 - April 2, 2010.

When you turn onto Auburn Avenue, the gallery is located in the Studioplex building immediately to your left.  Jack Art Gallery is next door to Serpas restaurant.  Free parking in the back.

Valentine's Dinner Fundraiser

This is an upscale Valentine's Dinner that is also raising funds for Faith Hope Adoption. Tickets include cocktails, dinner, dessert, drinks, live music, a photography art show, raffle and much more.  I'll be providing music on their grand piano, along with Damian Churchwell on guitar.

Victoria & Londan suddenly lost their partner/father just before the holidays. This benefit concert is to help them start off the new year with some extra support. There will be lots of great music, featuring Holly Golightly and the Brokeoffs, Lara, Michael Steele, David Duan, Marty Winkler, Shannon Adams and Byron Dillard, and Rolling Home. There will also be drink specials and prizes.

$10 at the door. The event starts at 6pm. I'll go on sometime after 8:30pm.

The Green Room @ Mule Train Records

Mule Fest is a three-day, two-venue festival consisting of art, music, comedy, vending and childrens’ activities held in the eclectic city of Athens, Ga every August. With a focus on local talent, acoustic performances and jam bands, the musical focus centers around styles such as alternative, Americana, blues, funk, jazz and soul. The two venues are the Mule Train Records’ Green Room and an outdoor main stage in the First American Bank & Trust parking lot located at 520 North Thomas Street.
