Lara Oshon, songwriter, performer and painter, is an exploring free spirit. Lara’s music and art are twin mediums opening a lyrical window into the soul. Her commitment is to revolutionary love ~ unifying love sprinkled with humor providing a pathway to a healed heart. This impulse streams through the moments and motions of her warm-hearted days. She is inspired by nature and life itself in its creative, renewing dynamic. Tuned to creating ~ our inherent gift ~ she yearns to inspire, transform and unite.
Initially Lara was a scholar of human dynamics and language. Very unexpectedly, breathtaking moments with wild dolphins and whales ignited a new impulse of joy ~ prompting writing, singing, playing piano and painting. Blending her life into her performances, she folds fun and intimate storytelling around her soulful songs.
Lara’s demo album, "Emerging," established her as a warm, inspiring singer/pianist and talented lyricist. Next, showcasing her gifts at musical arrangement and strong melody, she released her second album called “Dive In.” Her newest single, “Back into One,” was released on Earth Day 2010. Lara is currently at play on a new full-length album.
Lara’s expressive, bold, and strong Soul Paintings have been exhibited all over the country. With devoted supporters on both coasts, her live shows are provocative, elegant, soothing, and naturally entertaining. After living in Los Angeles for years, Lara recently nestled back in the green nurturance of her home state of Georgia. Here, she is picking at her newest love, guitar!
